Over the past 28 years, I have started and built FMCG, Wholesale and Distribution businesses to Circa £30m Revenue and £2m EBITDA.

I have successfully completed MBO and full exit to Private Equity and Private Investors.

I have been mentored by an FTSE 250 Managing Director, and spent quality time being coached and educated by some of the worlds top business coaches and thought leaders. The experience I have acquired over the years will add real value and quantifiable results with whomever I work with.

Why I Do It

To be honest, it would have been easier to quit!

Scaling my 1st business from an initial £3k investment to annual Revenue £22m and £2m EBITDA in 11 years and a successful exit to Venture Capitalists was no easy journey.

The highs and lows of winging it ✈️

The challenges of going from walking on air one moment, “Yes, we’ve just closed an amazing contract”.💷

To crashing back to earth with an almighty bang the next – “Sh*t, we’ve just lost £80k in bad debt”. ❌

Quitting in the early days would have been so easy, but I’m so glad I didn’t.

However, there would have been a much better way to do it in the first place.

I only found this out 3 years after my successful exit.

I purchased the business back from the Venture Capitalists as the business had taken a turn for the worse.

I inherited a business with £8m Revenue and -£500k EBITDA.

The challenges were different to the ones I had previously encountered.

Scaling the business back up wasn’t the problem. In fact, we scaled it to £31m Annual Revenue in 5 Years.

Making sure we did it in the right way whilst fixing all the internal challenges and systems to ensure we were getting the best financial results out of every area of the business was a challenge.

At this point, I hired a mentor and business coach.

Together we developed a plan and put a system in place to start the rapid scaling journey.

It was great to have someone external to bounce ideas off, keep me accountable and see the business from a helicopter view.

We were extremely successful and exited the business with a sale to a High Net Worth Family Office.

The learnings from my mentor and coach ignited a passion in me to further my personal development journey and pass all of my knowledge on so others can avoid most of the mistakes I have made in my 30 years of business.
